Happy Valentine's Day

We kept things pretty simple for Valentine's Day this year. My husband and I had dinner at "our place" that we go to for Valentine's Day and birthdays. My mom came over and watched Eva for a few hours so we could get out by ourselves. It's not Billy Joel in a suite like our monthly date night last month, but it was nice nonetheless. My favorite thing about this place is their martinis. I had two but only managed a picture of the one I had for dessert - the Snickers Bar.

My sweet girl had her obligatory hearts outfit. It was a set (size 18 months) that came with red leggings and they just would not fit over the perfect chunky thighs my girl has. I actually liked the white leggings better with it anyway.

I'm not one for a lot of gifts for Eva when she's this small - she's never going to remember anyway. I see parents going all out for birthdays and holidays and I just don't see why. It's more for them than for the kids. One of her gifts was a book, which is one of her absolute favorite things right now. And I also got her a play food set for her kitchen. It's one of the ones that comes with a knife and you can "cut" the food in half. She hasn't stopped playing with it since we got it! I'll link them both below.
